Ashlee's 1st Day of Kindergarten

Ashlee started Kindergarten today. She did great. She loves her teacher, Mrs. Williams and has a friend, Reece, in her class. They told us to have them buy their lunch the first week because there are lots of extra helpers the first week. So, we put money in her account and she bought pizza. We went over her choices this morning, and she had already picked pizza before she left for school. So, her and Reece, her "partner" today, headed off to lunch together and got pizza. I asked her how it was, her response was, "Um, not really that good." Very matter-of-factly. But she's very excited to buy lunch again tomorrow. I told her the options tomorrow and asked her what she wanted, she said, "I think I'll get whatever my partner gets." Just a hunch, but I'm thinking they call them "partners" in their class, their little buddy-system. Too funny. I asked her if she's excited to go back to school tomorrow and she is. That is the best news I could've heard all day. I just want my little girl to be happy at school and make new friends. Looks like we're off to a good start.
